Stockholm Furniture Fair saw a whirlwind of emerging design ideas through various architecture talks and featured products looking at designing for a better tomorrow.
Erna took to Stockholm with Danielle Brustman, immersing themselves in Stockholm’s largest platform of Scandinavian design within the furniture and lighting industry.
Straight from the fair with many of our featured brands, Danielle Brustman is bringing back the ins and outs of the SFF23 to share with you. Stockholm Talks will take place in both our Melbourne & Sydney showrooms, delving into Erna & Danielle’s experiences and personal conversations with the designers.

Danielle Brustman’s Melbourne based studio encompasses a broad spectrum of practice, from residential interiors and commercial design for the hospitality, education and retail sectors along with furniture and lighting design for exhibition and installation.
Danielle works with a rich syntax of colour to conceive works that challenge our perception of private and public space. Her design work is narrative driven and informed by dynamic colour relationships, geometric form and fantastical spaces.

K5 is pleased to join the conversation on emerging materials to our journey in circularity. Our sustainability and circularity lead, will be joining the panel to talk about some of our recent design collaboration on bio-based product design, and future innovations.
In this discussion, panelists from across the industry will talk about how they are adapting their practices to account for the intrinsic value of raw materials. They will consider the principles of circularity, including design for disassembly, reuse and adaptability. The panelists will also reflect on the possibilities posed by the emergence of new materials and products that sequester carbon, such as mycelium, hemp, algae and timber.
